What Is Web Design & Development?

My Web Design Process
My web design process is built around collaboration and transparency from day one.
Initial Discovery Call
Before any design work begins, we have a call to establish the content structure and look and feel of the site. I ask clients to do some homework beforehand – reviewing sites they like, thinking about their audience and goals. By the end of this call, we both have a clear vision of the site in mind.
Design & Approval
I create an overall site template and work through as many drafts as needed until you are completely satisfied with the design and sign off. Then I build a unique homepage based on the approved design direction.
Build & Handover
I teach you how to add and update pages yourself – so you are never dependent on a developer for routine updates. Unique pages such as contact forms, photo galleries, and other custom elements are set up by me. If you prefer, I can also add all pages and content, write content, create multiple internal page templates, or lay out each page individually.
Project Management
Throughout the entire process I use a project management system that organizes the project into tasks and subtasks. You have full access – you can see drafts, ask questions, make comments, and track progress in a centralized, transparent way. No wondering what is happening with your project.
Additional Services
Many add-on services are available including translation, photography, and ghostwriting.
