I started designing websites when I had to write out the code and manually configure each site’s setup. I couldn’t see what I had created until I uploaded it by having a modem dial and connect to a remote server. Once the file was uploaded (which took time back then), I went to the page on the web to view it. I had no way to see it on my computer as I was working before it was manually transferred to another computer online. To fix or revise something, I had to do the whole process again.
